The Forgotten Post

Written Sometime in 2024:

“I had a realization today after reading my fifth Ruby on Rails blog post – blogs are often short-lived. People give up. They move on. They get bored. Many blogs have been dead a long time. Especially when the focus is on older technologies (go figure). Rails for instance, while actively maintained, has lost much of its popularity and staying power in the last decade. Hence, the many dead Rails blogs littered around.

I read one with an grave marker dating September 16, 2006 as its final publishing date.

So why this post?

Because, dear reader, my blog must go on. Even if the content is subpar. Even if no one reads it. Benefits of blogging include keeping track of your life and the ability to see progression in one’s life. A blog is also for people who want to learn a bit more about its humble narrator.”
